Bernese aren't drooly and are slim with medium coats, they are great with children and are very well behaved. The St Bernards were supposedly bred from them and are larger in all directions. They both have a habit of thinking they are lap dogs and both are definitely lovable.

Holly, Thanks for the fun site. My students tried to take the test this AM, but since they are all under 13 years of age, they were denied access. We even tried to put in different ages, but the site obviously has a check and balance feature that continued to deny access.

Anyway, I asked the students and my assistant what type of dog they would like to be. Here are their answers:

Lauren age 6: a Kelpie, whatever that is!
Katlyn age 7: a Poodle
John age 8: a black Lab
Tyler age 8: a McNab
Travis age 9: a yellow Lab
Mrs. B classroom assistant: German Shepherd

That's all, folks. I was glad to see that some sites really are off limits to young people, although I would not necessarily consider the dog site to be dangerous.
smile

No - I have it, it would need to be a breed that breathes in a posh way.

People can't help but fall hook, line, and sinker for your friendly, well-rounded personality and natural charm. It's a subtle thing, though — being outgoing and flirtatious, not showy, is the name of your game. Friends, co-workers, and potential dates can't help liking you. How could they not? Aw c'mon Cynde.
The "deep diver thing" was a great opportunity to see the contributors true personalities.
What really surprised me most from it all was just how insecure most of those who posted on the thread really were. Very few were prepared to accept anyone elses point of view as having any merit & an equally large number refused to post the inevitable tales they harboured, that showed them to be mere mortals, in the Humility thread.
An aside...I had a lot of time for Jason, as he did for me. We needed plenty because although we thought that we liked each other, neither of us had a clue what the other was talking about!

Andy, I will testify on your behalf. I read both threads several times (did not contribute), and I do not get where the hell the animosity came from. But boy was it there, talk about a case of step away from the keyboard. The differences between the two sides was so miniscule and I had a hard time keeping track of which side everyone was on, and mentally had some of the participants on the wrong side. I never did get it.

Saying all that, it still bothers me that we lost Barry and Jason.

I'm not going to growl at you Linnea. Far from it. I've just been checking out your profile & you look like my kinda girl!
I do think you're being a trifle unkind to me though.
While I admit to being slightly mischievous at times, I only attempt to entertain & where possible promote a little interesting conversation between us all.
Let's face it...if the only subjects we discussed were the Bonaire weather & the occasional fish that was worthy of note that passed in front of the reef cam, we'd all soon lose interest & move on to pastures new. No?
Certainly, the attraction of the site to me is the diversity of the subects covered & the characters who write about them.
Thanks Cecil. Our paths haven't passed much lately.
Are you still the king of the sunset posts, or is that young upstart Rusty still trying to wrestle your throne away from you?
Jason wrote to me a couple of times since he stopped posting. I think that he only left because he lost interest & nothing more sinister.
I'm sure that he could be tempted back if the subject was right & someone gave him a nudge.
I write to Mary & Walt (his neighbours) quite often. Perhaps I should see if they can drag him back to the keyboard?

Ok, I come up with "pit bull" for fancy pants...andy you better take the test yourself and be done with it!...now read on..

"No bones about it, you're a commanding Pit Bull with a bite as big as your bark. Authoritative and aggressive, the power position is the only one for you — and you never have trouble making that crystal clear. A bit quick-tempered, you can be a little intimidating — though you hardly ever attack unprovoked. Taken aback by our insight? Don't despair! You have several redeeming qualities. Very low-maintenance, you're not one to fall victim to superficiality. You say it like it is and don't waste time playing head games. Just make sure to keep your scowl and growl in check so people can get close enough to notice and appreciate your positive side...."

Andy, dearest, the only staffordshire I ever met was a sweetheart of a dog. Most people were scared of him at first sight because he looked so much like a pit bull, but he was lovable and well trained to boot. (Can Marcia and Mum claim the same of you?) If I ever meet you in person, I promise to scratch you behind your ears.
