I assume you lost the "Escorts Available List", that shouldn't be too hard to replace. Just ask for volunteers.

Chet, thanks for all the hard work you've done listing who will be on Bon and when. The list itself is quite an achievement, but nothing compared to the never ending revisions. Again thank you for doing it.

I have a mildly used Nikonos SB-105 strobe available for sale (I have three, and since I'm now doing UW digital video I don't need that many). Not sure if that would work, but make me an offer (via e-mail).

What kind of setup do you use?

BTW. I think we will be able to get you some video material for your kids. The only problem could be the NTSC SVCD. They are not easy. PAL SVCD is not difficult (not-interlaced), but there are major compatibility problems with NTSC SVCD. I'm going to try the LSX-MPEG snap-in for Adobe Premiere. The problem is that I can't test them. I don't have an NTSC DVD player.
Therefore I will also take the original files on hard disk (Firewire 100GB). Worst case we just transfer them to one of your computers.

For stills I still have a Nikonos V with lots of accessories. I also have a Subal housing for Nikon 8008s/F801 which I'm interested in selling (along with one or two camera bodies and a bunch of ports) - any takers?

As far as the SVCDs go, we can certainly experiment. I do have Premiere 6 here (on PC). Other option is to simply make MPEGs out of the programs, and we play them back on the PCs.

I'm using the Sony VX1000 and a Sea&Sea housing. It's a very good combination but rather bulky. The advantage is that I can mount lots of extra stuff on the housing (mainly lights, you can't have enough light).

We had discussed a get together at Jake's on Sunday Feb. 24th. Apparently that is not a good date for people as we have gotten no response. Chet will continue to post the dates for the other get togethers. Looking forward to meeting you guys. 28 days to go!! Some warm salt water would do me a lot of good.

As Gibi's is now open on Tuesday, I'd like to suggest we adopt Diver Debbi's suggestion of BTers getting together on Tuesday night at 7 pm at Gibi's.

We'll (Alan and Josie Estill) are planning on it for 2/12 --- hope to see others there. I think DD is planning on it, but they're away in Spain right now, I believe. After dinner, we can do whatever one does on the last night of carnival!?
