Hi BTŽs,

IŽll be on the island in 12 days and IŽm bringing my digital cam to take some pics of my trip (OF COURSE! :-))) )

IŽm concerned that my 128Mb card will not be enought for all the photos IŽll be taking, so I was considering bringing a notebook to upload them and clear the card. The thing is: i couldnŽt find one to take with me, so IŽm thinking about renting a computer on a cybercafe to burn the already taken pics on a CD and bring back home to my computer.

Does anyone knows if there are cybercafes at the island that can deliver this service and how much would that costs?

Thanks!

Daniel

Yes there's a shop where you can rent computer-time (we've done exactly the same thing on our last trip
). You can internet, watch your digital photo's and even burn them on cd (they sell empty cd's as well). Chat'n'Browse is the place to be :-)
Go here for information!
Enjoy your trip!

Thank you all for your help!

There are a few places you can do this, and where you chose to may depend in part as to where you are staying and if you have a rental car.

I wanted to do this at Chat 'n Browse but after one try I found it way too far a walk for me from where I was staying - otherwise I definitely would have done it there.

If you are at the Divi, or close by, they have a business center in which you can pay for computer time and burn cd's and/or upload them.

IŽll be at Eden Beach.. but IŽll rent a toyota with my friends, so no problem on driving there.

Hotel pcs usually are much more expensive that cyber cafeŽs... but iŽll take a look anyway.

Thanks!

I use a 128 stick every time I go for a snorkel! We just got the Road Stor to download our pics. It is small and compact and you can keep adding to the same CD and it is real easy to use.

Hi Darlene. I'm new to digital so I'm still learning. My plan for September (our first trip to Bonaire; can't wait!!) is to do what others have done and go to Chat 'N Browse to down load to CD. Could you tell me about "Road Stor"?

Tanks, Richard

All I know is that it is easy to use! :-) Our friends had it and showed us what it could do and it fit our needs. It is also plays DVD's if you hook it up to a tv. Maybe Sue F could jump in with the scoop. If you do a search on the internet you will probably find some info there. Sorry I can't tell you more, but I just know how to take the pics and download them! All I have to do with the Road Stor is put my memory stick in,put a cd in and press a button a couple of times and I'm done! :-)

It's a super-easy to use little gadget that's also compact. http://www.micro-solutions.com/roadstor/index.asp
Of course, you can still go see Michael at Chat 'n Browse, read your email, buy cuban cigars or bug juice or Bonairean crafts, or just shoot the breeze (and bring offerings of bagels, Sunday NYT, etc.)

Susan, you make a note to bring "offerings" specifically the Sunday NYT to the Chat 'n Browse. My husband, being the techie he is, will probably spend as much time diving as visiting Chat.

We have a group coming out of JFK on 8/7 (We are leaving out of PHL), I can have them bring a copy or anything from the Phila area.

Will these "offerings" render any type free services?
