I just bought a Motorola V400 GSM phone which proudly proclaimed itself as a "WorldPhone".

My US carrier is Cingular and claims that I can use my phone on Bonaire although no one seems really clear on what I have to do.

When I was there in April I rented a phone fro Cellular One but I would love to use my phone instead. Has anyone done this on their trip? Was it a hassle or was it as easy as back at home?

I have that same phone, with Cingular as well.

I posted to some cell phone specific message boards and it would appear that Cingular does not lock any of their V400s so I can use a local SIM if I need to. Does anyone have a contact for a local cell carrier, like Cellular One, on island?

Alternatively I could just add international roaming but I want to check the price differential.
