With our many trips to Bonaire, we have become pretty friendly with the owner of the Dive Inn. Her name is Babs, and she is a wonderful person. She is currently in NYC right now and called us last night. Kathi and I are meeting her on Saturday, and taking her to lunch at our favorite Italian restaurant in the world. It is located on 46th St. between 8th and 9th. It just goes to show how Bonaire friendships extend beyond Bonaire.

Mary, right on. I love their price fix lunch, and they have the best winelist for the money on Manhattan. I assume you've been there.

My Goodness James! I did not mean to invite myself to lunch but if you tell me what time I'll see if I can juggle my schedule a bit.
I love Becco -- the food, the atmosphere, the prices, all can't be beat.

Kelly, if we do meet up, I promise to bring the digital camera. And I also promise to make sure we get to dine out together should you find yourself in NYC.

Mary I have been to NYC once, and loved it. Loved the hustle and bustle. I promise if I ever make it there again, I'll call! :-)

Mary, I hope this is not too late. We are leaving in about an hour. We take NJT in from Princeton. Our reservations are for 2:00 PM in the atrium. If you can make it, call Becco and have them add you on to my reservation.

Hello James, I woke up with a terribly stuffed nose a bit of a headache (AcHOOO!). I took off from work and went back to bed after a late breakfast. I slept until 2 PM! I just checked in to Bonaire talk and missed Martine's good coffee.
Thanks anyway for the invite but my body needed the rest a bit more than the socializing.
Hope you had a good time...
A well rested Mary W

Sorry for your ills Mary. We had a great time at lunch, and post facto. I took them to Rockefellar Center and then to NBC's Rainbow Room up on the 65th floor of the NBC building. It was a lot of fun. It's always a trip to hear first time reactions to NYC.
