All . . . .
My Significant Other wants to know what women usually wear in Bonaire at night. She would appreciate your recommendations.

We want to be dressed appropriately Tues, May 18, at 6:30 at Gibi's. Hope to see you there. (we will be the old couple).

ken and sue

Hi Ken,

Shorts and T-shirts or golf type shirts are pretty much our standard attire all the time when we are on island. I guess long pants if you are the slightest bit cold natured. There is no need for a dress if that's what she is worried about. There were about 15 of us at Gibi's the other week and I don't recall but one lady in a dress.

I usually wear a little nicer tee and shorts at night or maybe a sun dress once in a while. Nothing fancy at all.

I always just take and wear shorts and a shirt...I've never been anywhere on Bonaire where you had to dress up.

Ken, everything, everywhere on Bonaire (with the exception of the Churches, I think) is very casual attire. Very comfortable attire is the key word! Have a great time! Carole

Hi Sue and Ken,

Bonaire is casual and comfortable. For dinner time wear, I might recommend long summer pants because of the mosquitos. After sundown, they start to bite and the usually get me at dinner time because there are no breezes under the tables.

I live sundress'es in bonaire. Shorts and a tee shirt works fine. Bathing suit and a coverup are ok too(most places) No jackets or tie, maybe a collard shirt at the most for the men. There is no need for a sweater at night either ,too warm at least for me. Sandals everwhere and barefoot someplaces. Then there is Sorrobon where everthing is optional.Sunblock a must.Bonaire is much more casual than Aruba.

Lorraine,
No spelling flame intended, but it took me a second to realize you meant "a shirt with a collar" - I was trying to figure out what a collard shirt was - is it collard greens colored? :-):-)

I saw your wedding pics, and you two just looked so happy, and Kitty was stunning !!!

Congratulations to you both and wishing you much much happiness.
