Hi everyone,
Rob and Cindy arriving for our first trip to Bonaire May 15-22. Could someone explain the Gibi's tradition to us?

Gibi's is a local restaurant where BT'ers currently on the island gather on tues evenings.

Gibi's: go straight east from Divi on Kaya Industria, keep going east past the intersection at Lisa Gas until you cross NikiBoko ; on your right is a Chinese place{China Noba} and on your left (just past a small vacant lot) is Gibi's.
That's Gibi's and many of the posters on this board gather there on tues nights at around 6:30pm

We are also on the April list but, we will be on Bonaire 4/25-5/9. I have us packed already! Looking forward to meeting a few of you at Gibi's- Diane and Peter Gutman

Also on island in May. This Ron and Judy will be there from May 8 - 22. We're old timers, our 15th trip over 20 years at the Divi timeshares. Have been reading (lurking) forever. We're going to try very hard to get to Gibi's to meet whoever is there at this time. Hope to meet Jake and Linda to thank them for this board and all of their work with it. We love Bonaire intensely and always suffer PDB between visits! Live for vacation!

Tues. at Gibbies is a great way to put faces on the names.We try to make at least one of them. The food is local and delicious, the atmopshere casual and friendly and it's a fun way to meet everyone and see old friends again.Masha danki for the directions Karlin.

New to BT but thought I'd give it a go. I'll be in Bonaire 30 April to 15 May. Staying at Capt Don's Habitat and attending the Digital-Duo underwater digital photography class, then staying another week to upgrade my certification and relax and enjoy the diving.

1. Are there any others out there attend this class?

2. I'll be traveling alone and am looking for a dive buddy for each week.

Our first dive day is May 2. Our group is 9 people till May 9, then drops to 5 till May 11, then 3 after that. You are most welcome to even out our group. I always dive with my digital camera (Oly C4040); we may be a good match to dive together. We are staying at a villa just north of Capt. Don's. I can supply a phone number at the villa if you are interested.

How long are you staying? We are a week behind you leaving on the 15th for a week. We are staying at Coco Palms Gardens. I see you are from Texas so we are your neighbor to the East -Louisiana Have a great trip!

Cindy - we'll be flying home on the 15th, so I think as you get off the Air Jamaica plane from Houston, we'll be getting on it ....post a trip report when you get home!! And I hope you have a great trip as well!!

Arriving may 29 - June 5, staying at captain dons (myself and me lady) --- so where's gibbies?

Also anyone out there staying in this frame want to do shore dives together? The more the merrier (and safer)
