Hi all,

If anyone is coming to Bonaire in the next week, we need 20 key blanks for a type "KW1" key, ideally five sets of four plastic covered keys (made by Ilco - model KW1-PC) in different colors (four colors per set, or three colors and metal works too). The local key maker has run out of blanks, and they have no idea when they will be getting new ones in.

I may also need to have a camera brought down.

Anyone willing and able to find the blanks and receive a camera for us and bring them all down?

Thanks!

Jake

Jake,
We are coming down this Friday (March 26th) arriving at 8:45 PM (AA flight from San Juan) I'll run at lunch today and see if I can locate the requested keys and let you know if I will be brining them. Unfortunately, I don't think there is enough time to get the camera to me to have it included. Sorry.

Mike

Jake,
I went to several places and was unable to find any that stocked the blank keys with the colored plastic covers...I was told they could order them...not an option given the our departure on Friday. They all had the plain brass blanks and I can get you 20 of them for $0.46 each. Let me know as soon as you can if you want me to pick them up as I will have only until tomorrow evening to do so.

Mike

Jake.
Can the camera get to me by tomorrow? I leave at 6:30pm on Friday, and will be happy to bring it along. I'm checking on the key blanks.

Mike,

Please get the brass blanks. If Brian finds colored ones we'll have extras and at the same time have cornered the market for those types of keys on Bonaire :-)

Brian - I assume your address is unchanged from December?

Thanks to both of you!

Jake

Jake.
I have the keys. They are chrome metal blanks, with four different color plastic tops (not attached, but will attach). The address is:

Brian Scheopflin
5513 W. Shady Trail
Old Hickory, Tn. 37138-1318

Can you give me some particulars on the camera? Dimensions, weight, packaging and how it will be coming etc.?

You can email me at my email address if you wish.

The Clownfish.

Jake,

Still want me to get the brass blanks given Brian was able to find the ones with the colored plastic covers?

Wow. I turn away for a moment and... :-)

Mike, I guess since Brian got them for sure, we're okay.

Brian - camera will be in a box, I'm guessing about 10x8x10 in size, along with a CF memory card. It's coming from Adorama in NYC and is scheduled for A.M. delivery tomorrow morning, via FedEx (I think). I'll e-mail you the tracking number when I get it from Adorama tomorrow.

I gave them your address without the "W." in front of Shady. I hope that will be okay?

Thanks so much! Have a safe trip down and we'll see you and Judi this weekend.

Mike - thanks for your offer of assistance and research. Hope to see you at Gibi's on Tuesday night!

Jake.
It will work without the "W". I started inserting that, to differentiate it from "E" Shady Trail - that's only a small segment in another part of the neighborhood and not connected to "W". One must try to make it idiot proof sometimes.
See you this weekend, and will look for the tracking number. I'll email you when it gets here.

P.S. Is there room for 2 more at Gibi's?

Thanks!

Gibi's is always a "show up, get seated" sort of thing. I've been there when it's been only me and another person, and then, like last night, it was 17 people. Pretty random :-) (So in short, yes, there's room :-) )

We're planning on Gibi's for Tuesday dinner...will drag along two 14 yr.old girls. They're not hip on goat stew...but I told them Gibi "may" have fried chicken and french fries. :-)
