Our party of 6 will be on Bonaire next week and we're thinking a case of Amstel would serve us well. Who has the best prices on cases of beer?

Dan, in case you have never been to Bonaire before, The Warehouse is the actual name of a terrific store down on Kaya Industria, past the intersection where Lisa Gas is located. You can find Kaya Industria beginning at the parking lot area of the Divi Flamingo Beach Resort Casino Parking Lot. The Warehouse is air conditioned (yay!) and has a wonderful stock of most everything you could possibly want/need. (foods and other items) So, ask for the Warehouse store and have fun! Carole

Thank you Carole! I've been to Bonaire four times before this, but not since 1998. I drive to Baltimore on Tuesday and fly to Bonaire this coming Wednesday..... and I'm all packed :-)

Have a fabulous trip, Dan and be certain to tell us all about it when you return. Safe trip and say hi to all of the sea critters, donkeys, goats, iguanas, birds and people for me, too! Have fun!! Carole

I think Joke's down near the Divi has the best Amstel prices

What about that liquor wholesale place off the roundabout by the radio station? We bought a couple of cases there last year. Don't know if it was the BEST price but it certainly was lower than Cultimara or the resort bars.

I agree with Linda above.

I recently concluded my annual survey of beer prices on Bonaire. Bars have gone to 2.50 for Amstel. Unlike in the US, everyone charges essentially the same for cases. Jokes, Warehouse, Cultimara, Flamingo, and Torito Snack are all about 35 including tax but not deposit. Torito is a good place to get a case half cold to start out vacation while the rest chills.

Timothy,
Here is a sample of the ‘odd beer or two’ I found during our trip in Feb/Mar:
bottles cans
These were purchased at various places (not always the cheapest) and fortunately for me (a beer can collector), you can usually buy by the single rather than a 6-pack or case.
Prices: (in guilders)
Bottles
Polar 2.25
Guinness 2.75
Bright 2.05
Desperados 2.95
Grolsch 4.85
Quadrupel 4.00
Tripel 4.25
Dubbel 3.65
Blond 3.65
Cans
Balashi 2.25
Guinness 3.4
Bavaria 1.60
Bavaria 1.60
Red 3.20
Polar 1.45
