What is the best time of year to visit

Any time, although it does get a bit warmer above water during the summer months. My favorite time is late May, mainly because that is between busy seasons. The people who go to Bonaire to get away from snow have stopped coming and the people taking vacations during the school holidays haven't started. Bonaire is rarely affected by the hurricane season, the main effect being that the breezes slow down, stop, or sometimes blow the other way. Even though Bonaire is a desert island the humidity still can get to you when you don't have a breeze when you are outside. Nothing like Cayman or some of the other lush 'tropical' islands though.

MY favorite time is February, because then we miss MUCHO snow and cold in Rochester, NY. I also enjoyed August, but it was a bit hot for me.

Water temps are too cold in Feb/March. Aug/Sept/Oct/Nov is the best (just before the high season rates) water temp is 82 F and air temp is average 90's.

Too cold in Feb/Mar? Cynde Lee and the Everlasts, stop laughing (I am too) about 78% water being too cold. Yes, I know it is even worse for you northern right coasters right now, than our cool southern left coast 55% water.

TOO COLD! TOO COLD??? I live in Florida and February is perfect. We get the good diving months May through September, calm seas and hot and humid. The diving is a joy. Bonaire in February is the perfect interim for us. But overall I agree, anytime is good. It's quiet, the people are friendly, and the fish are always happy to see you. When ever you feel the call of the island is the time to go.
