A terrific lead-in, Rusty... I couldn't resist. The main photo was taken in Bonaire last March, and additional "Santas" were from other Bonaire and Curacao photos. Great idea to let the moray eel play "The Grinch!" --Deborah

Hi, Rusty-- Yes, I made the image. That's what I do (digital artist), although my "normal" work isn't quite this manipulated. The "Christmas Reef" scene served as the front of my Christmas card this year. I didn't set it up for use as wallpaper, but I'll rework it later today. Then I'll email you a .bmp file to use as wallpaper.

Deborah, cool! I envy you. I work in a print shop and I do a lot of digital pre-press work - but I work with mostly finished graphics and do the layout around them (Pagemaker and Quark). I can wiggle pixels for fun - but I wish I'd been born with the gift! :) Lucky you!

Rusty, I wish I was born with the gift, too! Spent 25 years as an accountant/business manager, and decided it was time to give the other side of my brain a workout. It's all been quite a learning experience, but lots of fun. (One of these days, I'll figure out what I want to be when I grow up!) I'm sending you the wallpaper file to the email address in your Bonaire Talk profile - hope it comes through okay! --Deborah

Ho Ho Ho - I did a Yahoo search on Scuba Santa and found a nice wallpaper of a Santa in Colorado somewhere. Let me guess, it's a tank shot. LOL They have various wallpaper sizes.

Now, that was an experience in not being able to, or not knowing how to, back out of a post when the software tells me it can't add the pic as it is. Mr. or Mrs. Moderator, is there a way to not post once the pic id is asked for????

Have fun, Annie. Stop by and say hello to my daughter and granddaughter at Kaya Neerlandia #1, behind the radio station. But I forgot, you know Zulay. Give them both a hug for me. And give the dogs and cats a scratch or two each.

You could give Jack C. and Michael G. each a hug, too, but not from me!!!! They both just like hugs from ladies. I understand Jake does too, but Linda is usually close by--your choice there, as the opportunity allows.

Annie,

One more before you leave: I hope you and your daughter are watching Holiday at Pops with me on A&E!!! I know that those of you living far away from Boston (except perhaps those ex-pats on Bonaire!!!) don't quite understand 'The Pops' but it is part of New England...

Glen, I *think* that once you're into the posting procedure - you're sunk if you want to quit - it posts the black box. I often just minimize the browser window - go back and resize a pic - then continue with the new image...

You have a short time window to make changes in the sizes of the photos in order to post them once you begin the posting process. Sometimes I make it and sometimes I don't! I try to remember to check the sizes of my shots (properties) prior to my starting to post, but sometimes the "Sometimer's" hits and I lose control and blow it! At least we all understand!! LOL. Ah, I hoped I'd catch you all here by the Bonaire fireplace this Xmas Eve. Webster and me want t remind the Santa Scouts whoever and and wherever you are (you do know who and where you are, don't you) of the general pattern of the Santa Sightings. First sighting might be from Europe/England at about 6:30 or 7:30 (all times are Board time), then a general N to South and East to West, ready to leave Florida bound for Bonaire any time til. l0 or so when Ellen and/or Jake and Linda will send us home.(All times approximate, all times roughly accord with when kids have to be in bed so Santa can come, all times are open enough to include any passing Santa Scout volunteer). Those of us who can't do pictures, thank those of you who do.Merry Christmas Everybody...and to all a GOOD NIGHT. anyone who has kids to be mentioned by name,(kids, grandkids, neighbours, nephews, nieces tell us now.

Happy Christmas to all, and to all a Good New Year. I hope you all experience good health, joy, peace, fun, love and prosperity in all things in 2002.

We're off tomorrow to Merry Olde to visit the whole family and for a three-day trip just Alan and me to Paris, before we return to (maybe by then) snowy Rochester, NY.

AND, I'm very much looking forward to meeting a bunch of you "on island" in February/March.

Blessings all...

Josie
