With all the rain that Bonaire has had over the last few months, everyone keeps talking about how green the island is. Anyone have any pictures of some great lush green on Bonaire? Contrast pics would be great too (a year ago vs today)...

Not really good ones.

Here is one from 10 years ago:

And this one was taken 2 days ago:

Both pictures were taken from the Brandaris and are of Washington Park.

The second one is a bit euh.. large.

The Island gets an average of 22 inches of rain per year, correct? Does anyone know what the total is so far? Coach Izzy

Wow, Martin, I think they are going to break a record if it continues! Did you notice a difference when you were there a couple of weeks ago?

There was some rain, but less than last November. Last November we had LOTS of musquito's, they were mostly gone a few weeks ago.

Martin
the Kunuku (countryside) was way greener in January when we were there than it was last March. Of course there were mosquitos as well. I'll post a couple of photos when i get my computer out of the shop

Joe, I compared it to last November, at that time there was quite some rain, so I'm not surprised it was greener in January.
