BonaireTalker Cruise …….
Heading
Ulf & Dedrie have graciously offered BonaireTalkers a Sunset Cruise on the Woodwind. Since we were already organizing the “Who will be on Bonaire February/March List” on BonaireTalk, we were approached to organize the trip!

Per the Woodwind website: "A relaxing sightseeing tour from the water at sunset!"

It will be on Wednesday, March 3rd, leaving the pier at 4:30 PM.

We will meet by 4:15 PM at the pier in front of the Calabas Restaurant at Divi Flamingo Beach Resort; returning to the pier around 7 PM.

Since this is a private group, don’t contact Ulf to sign-up. If you are interested and will be on the Island on that date, please e-mail your name(s) ASAP to Chet at chetwood@scubadiving.com. If we get more requests than space permits, preference will be given to active BTers. (So, another good reason to be an active BTer!). A list of the lucky participants will be posted here on BonaireTalk and at the “Street Cam” box at least a week before the cruise. (Note that if you get a spot and don’t show up, we will mention that on BonaireTalk too, so that those folks who could have had your spot can share their thoughts with you :-)

Included with the cruise will be BEVERAGES (soft drinks, wine, beer, mixed drinks) and salty SNACKS.

If you are interested in a never-ending Pizza table at Pasa Bon Pizza for U.S. $12 per person, Ulf said he could try to arrange it for after the cruise. If interested let us know and we will pass the information on to Ulf, so he can arrange it in advance.

The Woodwind is a 37-foot Trimaran sailing vessel. photo For other info & photos of the Woodwind see their website at www.infobonaire.com/woodwind.

Thank you to Ulf & Dedrie!

What a wonderful gesture on Ulf and Dedrie's part! What a wonderful idea, too!! Wish Joe and I were going to be there in March to join in on the festivities, but, alas, we will not be there until June. Have a great time, everyone and Thank You to the crew of the Woodwind!! Carole

Chet & Jean,

Please add Linda and myself to the list of hopefuls. We'd also be interested in the unlimited Pizza Table at Pasa Bon. We'll plan for child care that night so we can enjoy ourselves :-)

The Woodwind's a really nice boat. We were on here for a Klein Bonaire drift snorkel and trip to Andrea II a few weeks ago. Nice time.

Jake

I guess missing it by three days is worse than my situation: two weeks. Darn it. Hope those that are lucky enough to go have a wonderful cruise!

Hi Neil & Edna,
Welcome to 'poster' status on BT! You've been added to the Feb/Mar listings (and I'll update your info and dates before the next posting).
Neil, I also see that you have many 100 dives; where all else in the world have you been diving (inquiring minds what to know)?

Hi Chet,
Although I had my certification dives in Monterey,Ca.
(46 degree water...its not cold it burns) I consider myself a warm water diver. We spent 5 weeks in Australia diving the east coast and dove the Yongala wreck out of Townsville. We have been to Cozumel many times...I have dove in Saba,St. Martin, all 3 Cayman Islands, Fernando do Noronha in Brazil,Baja Mexico,Hawaii, and a country that begins with C. The best for me has been Cozumel and Saba, the Caymans were a little too restrictive. I cant wait to get underwater soon. I am trying out a new digital camera housing(Olympus PT-020) with a Olympus 5060 digital camera..should be fun.

Chet’s e-mail service has been down for 2 days. So if anyone has sent us an e-mail about the Free Woodwind Sunset Cruise for Bonaire Talkers on March 3rd; or anything else during the past 2 days; could you please resend it to my e-mail address jean_wood@yahoo.com . Don’t know when his will be working again. We will have the list of lucky cruise goers at Gibi’s on Feb.24th and March 2nd; and we will post it on BT.

Jean

Ulf and Dedrie, I'm new to Bonaire talk but really think it's great. My wife & I are returning to Bonaire after way too many years away and will be there at the time of the cruise. If you have room we would love to join you. We sail a 1983 Ted Brewer/Morgan 384 here in Maine,USA in the summer and it's been a long cold winter.
Let me know,
Rod
