Hi shooting star gazers!

It was a clear but unusually warm and humid day in London, Ontario yesterday. By the time I got up at 4:00am to see the "shower", deep fog had settled in and NADA!!!

The cat thought I'd gotten up just to feed him!

Cheers,

Bill

2099, might be the date for the next meteor storm, but every year we pass thru the comet remains and the Leniod meteor showers happen every year. Another good one is in the middle of August. A lot warmer, but the skies are usually not as clear.

It was great in Rochester, NY. Nice and clear. It's VERY unusual for me to be up that early, but we did it and were delighted we made the effort. Great views from the shore of Lake Ontario.

Afterwards we went to a local diner that opened early (and they were totally full at 6 am -- just one waitress, poor thing. The neat thing was that regular customers were helping out, setting and cleaning tables, making and pouring coffee -- it was nice to see cooperation like that!)

We were up bright and early but the fog had set in so we hopped in the car and headed out to look for a clearer spot. No luck Just about broke my husbands heart. Holly
