Hi-We are getting ready to take the big plunge and put in an offer on a home in Bonaire-anyone know a good, trustworthy real estate attorney used to dealing with nervous Americans? We are not residents and will need protection from things we don't even know exist. thanks for your help

you shouldn't need a lawyer. we just bought and didn't use one and it went very smoothly. the two real estate companies i've dealt with on the island (sunbelt and remax) were very helpful. corine at sunbelt is very knowledgeable and gave us very good info two years ago when we started looking. bob at remax is an american and will also understand your questions and concerns. he is the one we dealt with directly for our purchase but i'd recommend either of them highly.
