Well, I am still recovering from Post Bonaire Depression and now we moved the clocks back and it will be dark at 4:30 PM. The brown leaves are all over the ground and parts of the US have snow.

I am so looking forward to my trip but wonder how in the world I will ever get back on a plane to come back here.. I guess maybe I won't..

Ann....I know the feeling...I am going for Thanksgiving and in anticipation of the PBD I have booked another trip for February 18th. I was just there in June. The countdown has begun!!

Annie...I'm still taking bids for the spot in my dive bag.... Only have 6 days left to decide. And I guess I should go ahead and enroll in the PBD Group. Is there a meeting on November 12?

Kay, you are worse than me. I am TOO already dreading Dec. 30th when I return. Thank GOD it is in Air Jamaica so I can sail in the AM. Do my usual, fly home with wet suit dripping out of bag and sand in my ears and hair.

I think my next trip will be in Aug. but I will see my Bonaire friends in March and June at windsurf events so maybe that will help a bit.

Tim, yes, there is a PBD group on Nov. 12th. Actually there are two.

Tim, if I come I fear my boss will definitely fire me and since I hope this is my LAST year on Cape Cod, I need to pay pay the bills bills..

:)

Annie,

The expiration of Daylight savings time threw us for a loop too, but differently. Our 4DTV C-Band satellite controller in the living room shows the current time, in big bright digits than even penetrate sleep encrusted eyes, but in EDT/EST.

So, on Sunday morning (yesterday) when I got up briefly to answer a call of nature, and dazedly happened to blink in the direction of the 4DTV unit, I saw it said 6:06 and was stunned at how bright it was outside - it's never that bright so early (and I know, having to wake up before 6:30 many mornings to get the kids ready for school).

My sleep befuddled brain didn't have any answers - it was still in awe of the brightness. When I finally got up again (at 10am - thank you Linda and kids for letting me sleep in!) Linda mentioned she had gotten up at 7am (based on the 4DTV unit) and was bumming, because that seemed to early. Once she saw another (local) clock, it finally dawned on her what had happened (see had actually gotten up at 8am), at which point my brain figured out why it was so bright outside at 6am on Bonaire (for the even slower among you, it was because it was actually 7am on Bonaire and 6am on the East Coast of the U.S.) :-)

So, even those of us on Bonaire, where there is no fall back/leap ahead time change are affected by the one in the U.S.

Jake

Annie-
While I totally understand Post Bonaire Depression, what a glorious day we are having today on the Cape & Islands! No need to be depressed today. (We are practically neighbors, for the rest of you). What is it Annie -- 50 days and counting? It's 34 for me!

I depart Dec. 22..pray to Jah all goes well and the world is calm and safe and snowstorms stay farrrrr away.

Annie-
As for trip #, I've lost count. Been going since 1984. I own a house in Belnem (that I don't get to often enough). Semi-retirement is the long range plan. Absolutely cannot wait to get back! Don't worry, we'll have our January "I Miss Bonaire" Party and raise a glass of Ponche Kuba (or 2 or 3).
