Hello everyone! As you may know, Cynde Lee has raised $600 for Marina and the donkeys at the Donkey Sanctuary. I am fortunate enough to be the "Donkey Ambassador of Good Will" and I am taking the check to Marina.

I am staying at the Divi Resort, and we are taking the money to Marina at the sanctuary on THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 27TH. Anyone interested in going should meet in the parking lot of the Divi Resort at approximately 11:45 am on that day.

I am really looking forward to meeting Marina in person, and making a valuable contribution to the donkeys. She does a lot of good work, and with our help, she can continue.

If you can't make it but would like to send a donation, please feel free to email me privately for my snail mail address.

Ann, at this point, just bring the check made out to the "Donkey Sanctuary Bonaire" and give it to Marina when you are all there! Liz, glad you will be able to go as well. This is going to be so exciting!!! I sure wish I were there to see it! waaaaa!!!!! Make sure you take lots of pics to post for those of us that will be there virtually with you!

Hey Meryl, no worries You been "living life" quite understandable Kelly leaves on Thursday, so unless you can express it to her, just take a check down in January How's the married life? Steve adjusted to being a "bride" LOL! My mom saw that picture in that thread and when I talked to her on the phone she wanted to know if you really did it, I told her yes, and she got a giggle...she thinks we are a funny and nutty group at times!

Ah, yes, but we do have fun! My Dad used to say the same thing to me about me and my friends years ago..."you are the most disorganized bunch of folks I have ever met but you sure do know how to have a good time" ...one of his fav quotes to me. He was right, too, ya know! LOL. CArole

What a great idea! My wife and I will be making our first trip to Bonaire on the 23rd. We've read a lot about the donkeys and would love to give something back to the island. A plus would be to help contribute in the name of BT...we've learned so much from the great people/posts here. We'll be staying at the Plaza. Can we get together to give you some cash while we're down there, Kelly? We may be on a boat at the time you're leaving from the Divi, but aren't yet certain. Please send me an email with the "how to's".

JeffC, I asked this same question..I have been negligent in getting my donation out so do as I have been asked by Goddess Cynde, bring a check or cash to include for the caretaker, Marina. The Sanctuary is right behind the airport.

Thanks for the info, Ann and Kelly. I'll drop it off directly at the sanctuary. Sorry about the email thing. It's fixed now. As for diving with you, Kelly...my wife and I are brand-spanking-new to diving. We're coming down with referrals and will be doing our dives for c-cards on days 2 & 3. We'd hate to slow you down. It would be great to say "hi" in person and meet another midwest diver in paradise. Maybe we grab a cool beverage during surface intervals or say hello at the Tuesday dinner? How long ya going to be there?

Please defer the Tue. Giby's Dec. 2 if you can?? Giby will be at Taste of Bonaire as will MANY OTHER fine Bonaire dining spots.

Thanks for the info, Annie. We'll do. We leave Dec. 3, so it will be a nice way to wrap up the trip. And, we'll certainly have to pay a visit to Taste of Bonaire while we're there!
