Yes Cynde, I noticed her absence too. also wondering what happened to nikki harris, after she attempted to confiscate my woopie cushions back in July she seems to have left in a huff.

OK ladies, you can't just leave us and not tell us where you are going...maybe they found a more interesting board (highly impossible, but you never know...www.parrotpooping.com has been getting a lot of traffic lately).

Now don't yell....okay? Ya gotta promise ya won't yell. Suddenly I was surrounded by a buncha guys in red fuzzes..er..fezes, um, fezzes, fezi?. Now y'all know I don't scare easy, but what's a gal to do surrounded, as I was, by half dozen guys and some camels....I mean this was nuts....So, I did what every brave Canadian girl is taught, I yelled, " Mariiiiiiines"!!!!!!! And these guys just scattered like ants. Arabs? You thought I meant Arabs? Nah, I said "Scary"....a buncha Shriners, I think you call 'em. Out on the town...from Harrisburg. Or Pittsburgh. Or one a those U.S. burgs.WELL,that's what I was going to tell you. But, Kris Fisher called me tonight. She told me some of you had been worried. I'm sorry that I did that, but I sure needed your thoughts and prayers. Some of the folk for whom I write speeches occasionally, needed some speeches about courage in perilous times. I hope I said it well for them. As our Prime Minister said to George B, "We'll be there, with you. We've always been there". Then, instead of my fever being military in nature, it turned into Pneumonia... in and then out of the hospital. Went to the East coast to wave goodbye to some 'grey ladies'.. And then to British Columbia. Some of you might remember me mentioning my niece, Jordana, coming to live with me, while she went to college. Jordana's mother, my sister-in-law,died a few days ago, in Vancouver. Anyway, I'm glad to be back with you all. I may be spotty in attendance for another day or two, but I'm never going to go away from all of you, my friends, again. Kris, God bless for calling...don't forget to come bunk at my place. And Cecil, and Cynde, and Dave and Haze, Glen and Jake and "newknees" and 'weirdpants', and Kels and Jason, the real ragin' Cajuns...You are the best!!!!!!!!!

Holy smokes, Kerri. I am never going to complain about being busy again. I am so very sorry to hear about your sister-in-law. Best wishes to you and Jordana. Hang in there - sure am glad to hear those guys in the red fezzi did not get you to enlist. Here in Wyoming, they drive around in little cars and play funky songs on their kazoos - all before noon o'clock. We love ya, Kerri - take care.

Kerri Mango...whew! Ok, I won't be mad or hard on you. You now know that you just can't "disapear" and not let us know that you are going to go hang out with some guys from "burg America" on camels wearing funny red hats playing kazoos and riding in minature cars!...on another note, my sympathies about your sister-in-law. And you over the pneumonia??? How are the girls?...thank you too Kris for calling Mz. Mango...now go have a glass of wogga wogga...I will sleep better tonight knowing you are okey dokey :-)

Good morning! It's not morning? Oh. Well i confess I'm barely awake, but I feel like I've been that way for weeks. I'm so glad to see you all. Last night, around talking to Kris, I just lay on the floor with the 'ladies' and got dog lips all over me. Felt pretty good. Thanks for the kindnesses. I'll pass them to Jordana, too. I think she'll stay at home with her Daddy now, and either skip a term,or see if she can pick up her classes there. And if you'll forgive me one last personal thing, I know Sharon would want me to tell you "Please double check your mammograms"! She never missed one. Unfortunately, one of them missed the problem! We were a helluva trio. Sharon was 5'7 or 8, a smart and lovely leggy blond. It really took 2 of us to worry about Jordie, 17, 5'8, long leggy blonde/red hair who refused to let us dress her in a sack...or maybe one of those Afghan 'burkas'. Of course, at 4' l0 3/4", I had to shout into their midsections to be heard. If you see a strawberry blonde Abbott and Costello, you'll know it's Jordie and me. Sarah, nice to see you back. And Haze, Cynde, everybody...when it gets to sunset where you are, let's raise a glass of wogga wogga, and drink to Life, and the good friends who make it worth living! What was it Cecil used to say when he posted the sunsets? It's another good day! Geez, I needed retraining to figure out, "red", "u" and all the other stuff. Sure sign I've been away too long. Or, I'm too dumb to raise a sweat. Kisses to all the wee beasties from Chelsea and Xia Xia, who are lying here in a bickie-overload induced swoon...

Ellen, Thank you. For all the loving and lovely pictures. I have always drawn strength from Mother Ocean and her critters. And Josie, and Martin, if Air Canada ever give up their mortgage on my soul, maybe we'll still all get to Bonaire together one day soon. In the meantime, if you get there before I do, take a dive for me. Blieve it or not, one 3 a.m. at the airport I found myself sympathizing with a passenger agent who couldn't believe "these diver guys who want to know if they can bring knives and scissors on the planes...are they nuts?!" I told him we must be...:0

Kerri, missing (no longer) soul mate, I will raise a glass of Screech (new foundland rum, best I ever had, better than Myers or Pussers, had it in Toronto) and coke to you. Stay well. Missed you and your posts.
