That sounds great, Annie! I hope Mom does return and has a great time. I only know the Divi beach, but I know someone will jump in here about the Harbour Village shortly! You GO, Mom!! Carole

When we were at Harbour Village last (about three years ago) the portion of Harbour Village's beach closest to La Balandra had a sandy bottom, but the bulk of their beach from water's edge in is coral ruble. The La Balandra portion is sandy as deep as one can walk (or wade) and was very nice for strolling into the water. The entire beach was very nice for snorkeling and walking.

Jeff Davis is one of the dive sites north of Oil Slick Leap which is, I assume, what Annette is referring to. Have not been to that site in two years so can't comment on the bottom.

PS...I have to clarify here....the ocean bottom is sandy and it is also nicely sloped/shallow. However, there is only a small spot of sand at the shore (except during low tide - then a little larger area just to the south of the same strip of coast). So anyone looking for a sandy beach to kind of use to "lay-out" and catch some rays would be disappointed. For this you might try heading out to the South as far as Jibe City...Vista Blue is nice too.

There are several dive sites in the south that have small sandy beaches...vista blue and sweet dreams...

Gregg, are you romping around with your KLM Captains hat on again??? LOL. A Miller Lite in one hand and the Captain's Hat in the other....I don't know if everyone out there will understand/appreciate what you mean by "scenery"! LOL. Carole

Hi all, another sandy beach, which has pretty easy access is Batchelor's Beach, with steps down and a railing and a nice little spit of sand with a rock wall to lean against. Getting in there, though, can be a bit tricky as there is a a slight dip from shore covered with coral rubble. Since I just bought a house in Belnem just a few steps away from BB, I will be spending my happy hours there. Hope to see you! pauline
