Hi all,

I am in dire need of a Sony PlayStation 2 (U.S. version, not European). If anyone's coming down soon, could you buy one for me and drop it off here at our house on Bonaire. Cost should be about US$180 for the base PlayStation - no extra controllers or accessories required.

On a related note, for anyone heading back up, I have a broken PlayStation 2 which needs to go into Sony for Warrantee service. I'd be much obliged to anyone who could carry it back to the States for me and ship it.

I'll have cash on hand to pay for the new one and the shipping for the old!

Not sure if we can help....We are coming down Sept. 12...We may or may not have the room left but if we do I will let you know in the next 48 hours. Where does one buy just the PS2 if we do have room? Best Buy? Wal-Mart??? We are getting ready to go look at a larger suitcase....If we have room will let you know.

We will be back down over Thanksgiving... Who ever brings the Play Station back to the states for repair can have it shipped to our home and we will bring it back down.

Jake - Hope that's not the one we brought down in May, eh? We'll be back in early Nov and will check with you beforehand to see if we can help out either way. In the meantime, if you hear from someone who can help and they are near a KayBee Toy store, I think I saw the PS2 w/o controller there for $149.

Tony - No - that one is fine. It's the one I got back as refurb repair from Sony (which is why we needed the one you brought down). I foolishly hadn't tested the refurb when I got it back, and just now sold it to a friend for her to give as a present to her husband. He unwrapped it and it didn't work! :-( So we figured go for a new one and I'll figure out what to do with the repaired refurb when I get it back.

However, now I will know who to look for? Are you boat diving or shore diving? I probably won't do much diving until the 20th since my dive partner doesn't arrive til then...of course I will probably run into a few friends and end up diving
