We are coming in town for the Christmas holiday. First timers. We are bringing two 16yr old boys that want to know where the hangouts for kids their age are? Anything for them to do {besides dive that is}? Also is there any local traditions or gatherings on Christmas that we can participate in? We are all very excited to be spending our Christmas there and would like to get the most out of our time there. All tips are appreciated.

Rich,

I moved your message out of Trip Reports as it didn't belong there.

No real hang-outs for teens other than some of the beaches with the locals, or the GameLand arcade, or the bars/cafes if live music is planned. There may be a disco open for pre-18 years olds on some nights of the week.

If you are religious, there are a number of churches to choose from.

No real public gatherings other than that that I can think of. Bonaire is pretty religious (mostly Catholic and other Christian religions), so local traditions would be similar to other places where religion plays a role in local life.

Tom and I plan to be on Bonaire during Christmas.

Maybe we can plan a dinner at a local restuarant for the Talkers?

We are staying at the Eden Beach resort and are thinking of having A Christmas celebration and pot-luck (your beer of choice)on the beach, a beach, any beach.... It will be our children, both 16, and Renee and I. We are coming in from Las Vegas and figured if nothing much was going on, maybe everyone interested could make something happen! Get in touch through the board and let's toss around ideas! An international holiday sounds like a blast!

Good hustle Rich. Do you have regular twins or Irish?
