(-: Bob Marley cigarettes are very local in Jamaica.

Do you want to stay in Montego Bay or travel around? I can really recommend Negril. Just drive up there and pick any hotel you like. But be carefull about the driving.

Peter, my days of Bob Marley cigs are LONG gone..LOL..now it's more jerk chicken and rum punch addictions..LOL..

I do not care where I am, but if we do this it's for 4 nights so do not want to tax my brain and body too much. I want quiet, local and more ecominded vs beach. I am keen on visiting Martha Brae River, Cockpit Country and stuff like that..I want LOCAL LOCAL LOCAL..

What's up with the driving?

They all drive like madmen, 7 years ago anyway.

Look a dangerous bent in the road, let's overtake the bus. That kind of driving. I thought I would not survive the two hour drive from MB to Negril.

I cannot recommend a particular place since things have most likely changed.

Hope you have fun in Jamaica.

My husband and I just got back from Montego Bay a couple of weeks ago. They still drive like madmen! We stayed at Sandals and it was great but, not what you are looking for. It was more a beach vacation but very relaxing. We loved Jamaica and will go back but next time I think we are looking in Negril. If we can stand the bus ride! Have a great trip.

Annie, check out Puerto Rico. My sister and I loved it when we were there even though we were in Old San Juan and now I'm trying to figure out if I can go in November. There are plenty of small places listed on Travelocity. Check out Caradonna at http://www.caradonna.com/caradonna/ for specials and packages under Puerto Rico.

Ann,

I'm sure the hotels in Jamaica would welcome the business. The all-inclusive resort I have been to in Jamaica did not meet your LOCAL LOCAL LOCAL requirement so I did not respond. If you would like to hear about where I stayed email me and I'll be happy to tell you all about it. We went all-inclusive because this trip we took the kids and our grandson and we wanted EASY. Plus, this resort has a FABULOUS water park that the kids loved. Here is a picture of my grandson on one of the slides in the water park.

Quentin
