and it has been a busy one at that. No chance to even get PBD, as the wheels have been turning. On Friday, my oldest son, graduated from a very special school in the FBI in Washington DC. He was also asked to be the class spokeserson, and his speech was humorous, poignant, and very emotional. I had no idea he was such an orator. I guess those Jesuits had some effect on him in school. LOL Today, Kathi and I head to Asbury Park, NJ. Reason: Lisa-Marie Presley is playing at the Stone Poney, and my darling believes that Bruce Springsteen will show up there. He loved Elvis so much growing up, Kath is convinced he'll be there for sure. Tomorrow night we will see "The Boss" at the Meadowlands with the E Street Band. Do you now see why I drink?

Jim, I am soooo jealous...oh, and I think that Bruce will make a show at the Lisa concert:-) And getting to see the Boss at the Meadowlands? Man, can I live vicariously through you both for a few days? Let me know how the concerts were, and again I so enjoyed spending time with you and Kathi:-)

Congrats on your son's graduation Jim. I know you must be very proud. Got a great letter from our son yesterday. "This is way harder than I thought it would be", but generally upbeat! Thanks for your support.

Best to you and Kathi!
Have fun at the concerts!

Cheryl

Jim,
Congratulations on your son's achievement. I know you must be very proud of him.

I hope the work you spoke of is going well. It must have been important; you were thinking about it on Bonaire! :^)

Lisa Marie's concert was nuts. Bruce did not show up, but Max Weinberg, the drummer, was there with his daughter. Bruce's concert last night at the Meadowlands was unbelievable. Since Bruce and I are exactly the same age, it makes me feel good that old dudes can still rock. We are going back on Saturday with 24 people. It should be a blast.Cheryl and Airey, I'm glad you heard from your son. I sure as hell would not want to be going through that now. Marine Corps boot camp is one thing, but doing it during the summer is brutal. I did it in the summer of 68, and saw many a person drop from the heat. Please give him my best, and tell him I'm rooting for him all the way to graduation. Jim

Jim, yes, you are an old fart but you still rock...I have witnessed it in person:-) Glad the concert was good...and this group going again this weekend sounds like a blast...What did he play, a variety of old and new stuff? Was CC there playing his sax? "Tenth Avenue Freezout" is one of my favorites:-)

Hi, guys....I hate to even admit this in fear of my life, but I think Joe and I are the only folks in New Jersey who are actually "not" Bruce fans......forgive me folks! I think it was because of all of the "over exposure" way in the beginning after the Stone Pony. We used to see him down there (I live in Northern NJ) for nothing and then BAM....multi media hype, etc.

Sorry, guys! Do you still love us??? Wahhhhhh! Carole and Joe

Ahhhh...nothin' like the boss belting it out...when Clarence went out on his own in the 80's, I bought his album...not sure how many he made!
