Anonymous...are you anonymous on the weekends too? Are you anonymous while at work only? Do you come out of the "anonymous" cloak with a true ID on the weekends?? Just curious...that would be pretty funny....here we converse with you on an anonymous basis Monday thru Friday and then as a "real" person on the weekends and Holidays except we don't even know it! Anonymous.. it has been mentioned to you that IP addresses are rountinely capturable hasn't it..?? both at your transmission site and at the site your browse..

Yeah, Jason, but only Linda and I have access to that information. So, unless the anonymous poster violates any of our posted rules or general rules regarding decency or slander, that information is not used or even usually looked at.

And yes, Anonymous, anyone can post anonymously, and certainly it's quite possible that more than one person will post anonymously on the same day. We get just under 30,000 visitors a month, so that means about 1,000 visitors a day.

I understand the privacy you afford your visitors. But he should be aware that each of the hops he takes to you have the info as does all of his outgoing servers where ever he is accessing...granted most people only look at that when the logs become saturated...Posting "anonymously" anywhere is actually a myth.. a surprising number of people know you you are..

Of course I realize there is more than one "anonymous" out there, but I was thinking of the person who wanted not to be "traced" during working hours...I thought it funny if he/she were also maintaining the "anonymous" identity during the weekends, too. I sort of disagree with that. Do a search on the Internet for "spoofing" or "hacking". It is amazing how much information you find and how easy it sometimes is.

Hiding your identity is possible. Even an administrator will not be able to find out where the message really originated.
