We're counting down the days. On August 6th, we leave Philadelphia for a two-week trip with our four children and two mothers and a brother. We'll be at Eden Beach (take that as an invitation or a warning). Will anyone else be around at that time and have some young children who would like to splash around with some friends in the pool?

Congratulations on your certification! You will love diving in Bonaire. My children are younger than you--we have an 8-year-old boy, a 5-year-old boy and boy/girl twins who are 3. My three-year-old son thinks he is 12 so maybe you guys would get along. The two oldest ones are going to snorkel but are too young to dive. The two little ones will play on the beach. My husband, my brother and I are divers. We hope to escape to the reef once in a while. Happy diving and maybe we'll see you there.

Gary,

Congratulations on your certification! My son will be 13 in September and was certified at the age of 10. His first dive trip was to Bonaire also. We have been back 3 times since and it is certainly his favorite place to dive. We will be there for 2 weeks at Christmas.

Best of luck in your new found sport. You, like my son, will be spoiled by Bonaire being your first dive. It's pretty much downhill from there!

Tom

Hello, actually my name is Tiara. I'm Gary's daughter. I'm 12 years old. I'm so excited to go down to Bonaire. I'm going to be 13 in JAN. I just got certified this year. I had to do my dive in a lake that was freezing and you could hardly see your hand in front of your face. It was raining the fisrt day too. I hated it but I had to do it.

Sounds familiar, Tiara!

I was certified when I was 10! I'm eleven, hope I'm not too young!

This is soooo cool! I had to do everything you just mentioned right there: Freezing, murky water. Lol!

Anyways, I'd loove to chat! E-mail me at klagaly@netscape.net or flaminfaeriesteam@yahoo.com to talk!

this is soooo cool! I didn't know there were any divers about my age! I'll be twelve next May.

Congratulations, Tiara. My daughter, Jamie, turned 12 in February and was certified this summer. It was a real joy being able to share diving with her. Unfortunately, she won't be joining us in Bonaire this year (we arrive on Aug 6th, also). Have fun!
