Day 3 and fickle winds make it hot and humid. Some late afternoon freestyle yesterday got the first round of the U17/U20 Double Elimination but with a silly rule of only Planing Tricks to be scored (in bugger all wind) meant that only 3 people managed to pump enough to get some points with everyone else on Equal 4th on Zero Points !!!

Round 2 of the D.E. may take place today in front of one of the rain squalls and after 4:00pm we may manage some Slalom if the wind kicks in as forecast....

Meanwhile GBR700 (Nic Hibdige) upset the local domination by beating Antilleans Amado and Stephen Max in the extra FlowStyle Event inserted by the Competition Committee. FlowStyle (light wind Freestyle) is marked differently to Freestyle and Nic's dominance was superb to watch (yes I am biased being his Dad !)

Well Congratulations to Nic and I hope the wind kicked in, it is certainly looking better for today(Sunday). Pity the Windsurf Place webcam is not working/updating since 26th, have you asked them to try a reboot or are there more serious problems with it?

How long is the Comp running for ?

Telbo have had the cables dug up at Sorobon and Kontiki and by sheer co-incidence there have been many problems :-) The wind meter connections to the web cam are still dead. This morning is beautifully clear and moderate wind. Yesterday Sam (#1 son) 17, was invited to race in the Men's Slalom whereupon he claimed 1st, 4th and 4th so we are proud boring parents telling everyone who will listen LOL. He raced the Carrot against mostly iSonic 104 / 111 / 94 / 96 and was poo-pooed until he overtook them. Hehehe.

More Slalom today.
