Hello,

Bonaire is having a crazy windy season. Are you a kiter?? The kiters are catching the waves at Playa Grandi. The windsurfers just had a tourney up at Cai. Great waves can be found there.

Hi Ann, I was quite an active windsurfer in my days on SxM and Cur in the 80's and 90's and would love to taste some of your windy conditions, but was hoping to find out if there's any wavesurfing (no help from wind at all...) in Bonaire.

Looking into visiting sometime soon to explore and see if Bonaire could be a possible next home in the Antilles after 15 years in Holland. ( I miss the ocean) :-)

Cheers, Dimi

We only have waves at certain times of the year. It can be quite good. Send me your email and I will send some crazy photos now.

I have seen surfers only at Baby Beach .... just past the shrimps plant on the east cost

Some go to Playa Grandi and Chikitu (I have gone boogey boarding at Chikitu but DO NOT recommend it as the rip tide is fierce and a Boston man drowned there once). As Brigitte said, Baby Beach is the safest place the locals go...

Hi Maple, Welcome to BonaireTalk.
I deleted your duplicate post and thread. We prefer that you not clutter the board with the same question in different threads.
Try a keyword search using the icon below. Type in surfboards and click around for a while.
Give a holler if you need a hand,

No, you must bring your own board and AA will not allow boards on the Eagle.
