Can anyone tell me what the studio accommodations are like and what amenities it comes with. Also who is the dive operator there and has anyone had any experience with them. Some general input about the Resort would be very helpful. Thank you in advance, Mike. PS Already booked the trip, one week at LION's and one at Divi

We dove with the operation on site last August and were very satisfied with them. They were very friendly and seemed to be having a good time.

We stayed in an oceanfront room but took a peek in one of the studios and they seemed very comfortable.

The studio units have been and are finishing up being renovated. They are so much nicer than the "old" units! The sliding glass doors in the porch area are absolutely wonderful and the new plexiglass in the kitchen area is great, too. There is so much more light in the studios now....very cheerfully done. New paint on the walls and new curtains, bedspreads, etc. The kitchens have full refrigerators, Mr. Coffee coffeemaker (bring your own filters, however, unless the folks in the unit before you left some there), new blenders, toasters and can openers and dishes for 4. Pots and pans and cutlery, too. The studio units have two queen size beds, one new pull out sleeper sofa, a large wooden chair in the sofa area and a high back chair at the dresser area. The bathroom sink and mirror are outside the shower and toilet room. (water closet, I guess!) There are now tv's (don't expect too much here, tho....two in house movie channels that play the same DVD's over and over all week long...with CNN Headline news, A & E (no HBO, tho) and Spike TV (oops) and a couple of religious channels in English and Dutch.

We truly loved and enjoyed the new improvements to the studio units. There has been much upgrading of the entire resort area as well.

Enjoy your stay and relax and fall in love with Bonaire and all she has to offer. Ayo. Carole

PS Joe and I are going thru some serious PBD right now as we flew home on June 7...wish we never had to leave Bonaire......

Mike: I forgot to add that there are two pools at the Divi...one on the timeshare side and one on the hotel side. Massage parlor on premises by appointment, hair stylist, mini mart, two restaurants, a nice intimate beach with very easy entry and access with lots of lounge chairs and some new palm frond thatched covered huts to protect you from the sun...you will have to fight the KLM crews for these huts, however! You will love the Divi....don't forget to give us a trip report when you return! Have fun and enjoy. Carole

Are ALL of the timeshare studios refurbished? We bought a Divi timeshare back before they were even built, and we are so glad that they are finally refinished. First thing I will do is unplug the TV, though. The dive shop is great, especially the people there. They are so friendly!!!

All but 1 of the ground floor units have the new glass doors, etc. They were starting on the 2nd floor units last week.

When I was there the first two weeks of March, they were on about the 3rd door of the ground floor assuming that they started by the dive shop. So I guess about four months would be the answer.
