I just received incorrect hotel vouchers from our travel agent for our upcoming stay at the Divi. We should have received one for 10 nights, but got one for 7 nights instead.

I immediately contacted our agent and was told that a new one for 10 nights would be coming our way soon. In the mean time, I took the liberty of contacting the Divi Corporate offices who confirmed that we actually have two reservations; one for 7 nights and one for three. I understand how this might have confused the person printing up our vouchers.

We purchased a dive package/breakfast/ocean front room for 10 nights back in January, and I really don't care how they have our reservation coded, as long as we get there and have our room waiting for us.

I sent off an email to Divi in Bonaire to reconfirm our reservation, but have yet to hear back from them. We still have a few weeks before our departure, so I am confident we'll get our paperwork eventually.

I was just curious how reservations are normally handled at the Divi and if these types of mistakes are common.

Any input is much appreciated.

Suzi

Suzi,

I own time shares at Divi and usually go 2-4 times per year. Unfortunately, the problems you describe are fairly typical for Divi. The bulk of the problem is in the home office. Travel agents must go nuts with them because of the screw ups. You have done the right thing. Make sure you email Divi in Bonaire to double check your reservations. The general manager (Frits) and his staff (Selimah is great) will take much better care of you than the home office. I'm sure once you get there that you will be very satisfied with the hospitality of Divi and Bonaire. Feel free to write me if you have more questions.
