OK I really should ask this. We have a Grand Suite reserved for our trip (June 7-18), are any suites better than others and which are the best? Does anyone have a map of the Plaza?

Cecil, do a search on "Plaza Map" and it will take you to the archives. I don't know how to post a link, but there is only 1 entry, so you should be able to find it!

Thanks Leigh Ann, should have done that myself. There is a map there but's it's tiny and not readable on the room numbers. My feeling is the Grand Suites are along the ocean side and any one of them would be fine. It also sounds like the Honeymoon Suite is to the right, want to stay away from that, could keep us old farts up all night.

Yes, the grand suites are on the ocean side, toward the south end of the resort. When are you leaving for Bonaire? We probably have a map at home of the Plaza. I will look for it when I get home and if I can get it to you before you leave, I will put it in the mail.

Leigh Ann, June 7th or 2 weeks from Saturday. That would be great if not to much trouble. Send it to;

Cecil Berry
8 Wildwood Ln.
Raymond, NH 03077

Truly appreciate the effort, I'll make it a point to save it and send it on to the next needy traveler. A pay it forward kind of deal.

Cecil,
The question to ask-- is it ocean or lagoon view... I have stayed in the Grand suites at both--- The Plaza's USA office is located in Canton, Ma-- You might want to give them a call at the 800 #--- I am sure that they will mail you a property map.. By the way -- the Grand Suites have 2 bathrooms !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure which view I enjoyed more--- It was nice to have morning coffee looking out at the boats in the morning and the evening view was incredible--- The ocean never changes and there is not much to look at--- except watching the colorfull sunsets. I'll see what pics I can dig up and email them---

So you are finally taking the trip--- I know you will enjoy yourselves

Cecil,
Another thing to consider is whether you want to be on the ground floor or the first floor. We stayed on the first floor in a Jr. Suite last month and had good views of the ocean. Someone recently posted that they could not see the ocean from their oceanside room that was on the ground floor (again a Jr. Suite). The Grand Suites are closer to the beach, but I am looking at my map of the Plaza and it appears that if you were in a Grand Suite on the ground floor in rooms 001,002,or 003 all you would be able to see is the Coconut Crash Beach Bar. Maybe someone who has stayed on the ground floor could advise?

Hi..we were on the ground floor in a jr suite..its really just a huge room...we were in j005...the pool was right in front of us....and though you could see the ocean it was not much..but we really didn't mind..we sat out on the patio every morning and had coffee and breakfast and looked at the pretty garden...and watched the birds and the lizards....it was cool...at night we would take our Amstel Brights and munchies and go sit on the beach..maybe a few others there too...we would sit by the boat rental place on lounge chairs with a little plastic table between us and watch the sun go down and the sky change colors....and talk about what a nice day we had snorkeling and all the beautiful things we saw in the ocean.....it was nice.....would love to be there right now!!!!
