Just got back from 10 days at Bon Village Villas (Island Rentals).

A good deal at $99 per night all in for 2 people in a 2 bed 2 bath villa and a Toyota Hilux all in.

Suits us as we like to cook when we want, have plenty of space and be able to feel clean.

Accommodation was clean and comfortable for the price. A few small jobs needed doing, but look at that price!

Plenty of critters about, but no more than the rest of Bonaire.

Location was good for us. Away from town, mostly quiet except for a few annoying stray dogs.

You definitely need the car.

Recommended, but not if you want frills/fancy.

We chose Divi Flamingo for diving and it was fine. Legendary rudeness/aloofness of the staff doesn't seem to extend to the dive shop, where they're helpful. Maybe the laid back approach is deceptive!

We also did the Woodwind trip, which was also fine but expensive for what it is.

Thank you for posting the message. Did the villas have a safe/locked box in which to store passports, etc?
You're right about the price, it is definitely tempting to cure the Post Bonaire Depression one gets after leaving Bonaire.

Dan - There was a small wall safe in the villa where we kept our passports etc.
