Hello,

I am getting ready and excited about my 2nd visit to Bonaire June 14-21. This time around we decided to invite 11 of our friends and dive buddies to join us. Fourteen of us will be staying in 3 units at Belmar. The last visit (6/01) we stayed at the Plaza and had no complaints. Great accomodations, kids program and dive operation.

I've read many of the reviews on Belmar from this group and the positive reports make it sound like this would be a great place for a group to stay. In the group we have 7 divers & 7 non-divers and 2 10yr olds. We opted for the 6 morning 2 tank dives so that the divers can regroup with the non-divers for lunch and explore Bonaire in the afternoon or do more shore diving.

We will be there the week of the Dive Festival and are hoping to go to the "Taste of Bonaire" event. Does anyone know what date it is scheduled for? Will there be any trouble getting in? We plan on skipping the other festival activities.

As it relates to Belmar, does anyone have any advice for our group? Are there barbeque facilities? I realize it's not the Plaza and expect fewer ammenities. What extra items should we pack along. Hair driers? (the women need to know). Electric converters needed?

Thanks for your help,
Jamie

I'm looking for any comments or suggestions for our group
