Bonaire, along with the rest of the Netherlands Antillies, share their own currency. The Netherlands Antillean Florin (NAFl) is exchanged at NAFl 1.75=$1 US.

Most businesses will take US $, though most will give you change in Antillean guilders (the term you'll most often hear for florins on the island).

Also, Anna, the Antillian Guilder/Florin's currency rate is linked to the US dollar. Which means that if the Dollar goes down against the Euro, then so does the Nafl. . Bonaire is getting cheaper for Europeans all the time at the moment!
