My father and I are going to Bonaire the first week 9/03, staying at the Plaza. (first time to Bonaire!!) He is 56yo, doesn't want to walk too far, and wants a villa/suite on the ocean side. (Where he could walk right out to the beach, ocean, dive outfit, etc...)
Are there specific types of accommodations on the ocean side of the Plaza fitting this description??

Jordy, some of the Junior Suites and Grand Suites (numbers 01-15 of both I believe, ground floor and 1st, so 001 and 101, 002 and 102 etc.) are ocean side. I think Grand Suites 001-005 would be the most ideal in terms of distances to walk, while having ocean view.

We like the ocean front grand suites that are toward the southern end of the property. They are an easy walk (2-3 minutes) to the beach and they are away from most of what little night activity is happening. The only drawback to that location for y'all might be the fact that it is a bit of a walk to the on-property dive shop. But it is a most pleasant walk with lots of flowers, colourful birds and the constant chance of being buzzed by hummingbirds.

Be sure to take and use lots of sunscreen. You will be very close to the equator and the solar intensity at that latitude is impressive.

You are going to like the Plaza and love Bonaire. Get ready to book the return trip!
