There has been a lot of talk about the frog fish on Bari Reef at Sand Dollar. I will be posting a photo of him a little later today so everybody can see who we are talking about.

We received VERY precise directions from two different people on how to find the elusive Bari Frog Fish in Oct, We spent almost two whole dives looking could not find it. Please, please, please show me your picture!!

Ribbit

It is about 3 inches long just for reference.

Randy, I tried your link to look at your photos, but all the squares remain blank. Special software required?

Hi Ginny,

Not that I know of. I'm on Internet Explorer on a PC and it just worked fine when I tried it.

Hi Bob,

thanks, Now that I can store the pics in the new Digital Wallet while on vacation, the next time I'll take photos in a better quality format. These were all taken at 640 x 480 Fine mode, good for web use but I've been diddling with the higher settings available on the camera and the detail DOES improve.

Great job, Debbi!! Neat shots of the frogfish. First I thought he/she had a growth on its left side but then the second pic showed it clearly that it was resting on possibly a piece of coral. Phew! Definitely "in your face" stuff...thanks for posting and congrats on mastering the procedure down! Carole

WOW Debbie! You got it in the clear, all of my pictures will have it(them) cuddled down in the sponges.

Great pics Debbi. Whenever we saw him on Bari he was snuggled up to his coral. Have never seen one in the open like yours.

Hey, what about my photo? Everybody is commenting on Debbi's photo and not mine, though I must admit she has a clearer shot! Nice photo Debbi.

OK Allan,
Nice picture! (sorry, but I'm still really jealous of Debbi's capture of the fish more in the open).

well..we must admit, that finding the frogfish just " hanging out " like a bird on a branch of coral was certainly unusual...we were so busy looking for them in the sponges that this pose was a photographers dream ! each time we went looking for these two fish they were in different places...they really travel, I guess one of the divers did a stydy of the travel pattern these two fish took over a period of time...can we hear the results ?
