Hi, is the first time that I will go to Bonaire. I write here, because I will go April 20 to Bonaire and I want to get a hotel, beautiful, cheap, and that everything is close... beaches, restaurants, coffees, dance, everything. I saw some places like the one: hoetl rocherline, what so near the airport it is?
I also saw in internet other very beautiful ones, but I ask for their personal opinions.
It is the first time that I travel and I want that everything is well, thank you

Leyda, Hotel Rochaline is in 'downtown' Kralendijk near many of the restaurants and bars. Karel's Bar is the closest thing there is to a regular night life. There is no beach near the Rochaline, but you can walk to Divi Flamingo within 5 minutes to their little beach. Are you diving or snorkeling? Between Divi F. and the town pier there is an area that you can snorkel in. To do any diving you would need to make arrangements with one of the dive operations. If you want to snorkel and don't have any equipment, the dive shops will rent or sell you mask, fins, and snorkel.

Spend some time reading some of the trip report, dining, and accomodation threads about the various places to stay and eat. There are many small rental places with kitchens that might be a better deal for you.

Thank you very much to answer
now I have a doubt...
I read about Bonaire caribbean club. And I would want to know which is the current price, and if everything is more or less close. I would also like to know which is their opinion about this place
I will go with my mother and I look for a good place for both...

thank you

Leyda,

Bonaire Caribbean Club is quite north of everything. They are just now reopening, I've heard, after extensive remodeling, so I'm not sure it's possible for anyone to post reviews. You would definitely need a car to get from there to anywhere else, though.

Hi, thank you JAKE for your answer!!!
but I have a small doubt...

it is with respect to the type of money..

I know that there in Bonaire they accept dollars.. but if for example I arrive with " bolivars ", " Eurus " dollars canadian or some other currency type, can I change that money there without any problem?
would it be accepted in some place?
or in the airport I can change in some exchange shops a currency type to another?

You can change Euros at the bank, and probably Bolivars too, however the banks have limited hours. Bring a small amount in U.S. dollars to cover you until you can get to a bank to convert your other currency.

Some of the shops will accept the Euro but as Jake mentioned, have some $ on hand for immediate needs. Airport bank is also opened on Sat. AM for exchange only.
