we are trying to plan our sixth visit to Bonaire, for this April. I've been in contact with these three resorts/accomodations and have received pleasant and helpful information from all three. There are four of us travelling, all divers, and prefer to prepare our own meals in, eating out occasionally. I've researched these places thoroughly last year prior to our month on Bonaire, but this trip our needs are different. At that time we needed three bedrooms and were accomodated very nicely by Joe Bird at Lighthouse Beach Resort. It was wonderful. Does anyone have specific opinions regarding our options?

We've stayed at HHH for each of our trips - once in a three bedroom and the other times in 'our' bungalow - a one bedroom.

Louise/Mel/Kitty are wonderful. they will help you with suggestions if you ask. they can arrange a rental vehicle (last year was with Budget). they can also provide a discount with one of the dive operations.

The front room is a large living/dining/kitchen area. There is cable TV. the kitchen is fully equipped - small stove, fridge, toaster, microwave, coffee machine. the bedrooms are not huge, but are air conditioned and have built-in cabinets. Nice tile bathrooms.

After the initial tp and small soaps - you need to replace them as needed. Some folks complain about this, but since we eat in for most meals - shopping is already in our plans. Shopping is part of the adventure we have found.

I just stayed at Casa Oleander, part of Coco Palms, and it was excellent. I had a smaller unit, by myself, but it had a large room with a galley-type kithen on one end, all clean and new. The place was spacious and very clean, the grounds lovely--full of flowering bushes and trees, which meant regular visits from parakeets adn hummingbirds. The people were very helpful. I recommend it.

I'm off next week for my fifth stay at Bonaire Town Homes, so you can tell I love it. Their two-bedroom unit would be fine for four people, and is spacious, immaculately clean, and very fully equipped. Lots of soap and TP also!

Nice outdoor seating/hammocking/eating area, surrounded by lovely plantings, in a quiet residential location.

Nice kitchens with all the equipment you could possibly want. Car rental discount with Everts, and dive packages through PhotoTours also available.

The owners, Benny and Esther, are as accommodating as you could possibly hope for, and they're one of the many reasons we return to Bonaire.
