We are just back from a wonderful week's stay at Happy Holiday Homes. We have never stayed at any other place on the island, but I can tell you that I doubt you can beat the combination of low price and excellent quality that HHH offers. We had a wonderful 3 bedroom with a great kitchen and lots of room. The room was immaculately clean and in perfect condition. It looks like it is brand new, even though it is 8 years old. The prices that HHH charges are among the lowest that I found on the island. Louise (the owner and manager of the accomodations) and her husband picked us up at the airport, and waited patiently while we filed out lost baggage report with the airline. This took a half an hour, due to an incompetent person at ALM airlines, and Lousie never complained, even though it was 8PM by that point. Other writers in this newsgroup have written about some of the "quirky" policies that HHH has, like having to buy toilet paper after the first roll, or having to pay for A/C beyond 10 hours per day. As far as I'm concerned, if you want to avoid those policies, you can go down the street to another place. You won't have to spend the extra dollar for the toilet paper, but you will have to pay $75-$150 more per night for your room. To me this is a no-brainer. The next time I go to Bonaire, I will be staying at Happy Holiday Homes. Great service, great rooms, at a very reasonable price. |
