Hi Everyone. I've been lurking for a while, but now that we've officially booked our trip I'll come out of hiding! We are incredibly excited about our first trip to Bonaire!

I'm hoping for some suggestions. We are a group of 6-8 adults traveling to Bonaire for the week of Thanksgiving. I have researched and agonized over where we should stay but thought I'd reach out to the experts to make sure I didn't miss anything. Obviously, finding individual hotel/condo for each couple is straightforward. But, what about someplace that will fit us all? I did a search on vrbo but most houses are either very high end or don't fit the bed/bath requirement.

Our wish list:
-Oceanfront - or at least very close
-Near good dive shop (convenient fills w/nitrox)
-Available house reef (could be with dive shop)
-Truck rental (or dive package with nearby shop)
-Air conditioning.. at least in bedroom
-Pool
-Nice, luxury isn't necessary but we'd like updated
-At least Queens in all bedrooms (who know that would be so hard??)
-Ensuite bathrooms would be nice

Is this possible? Any suggestions? Thank you!

Welcome Becki. Try vrbo.com for a villa or homeawayvacations.com. Enjoy your first but not last trip to Bonaire

Welcome to BT, Becki. Having stayed at Bonaire Oceanfront Apts. many times, I would highly recommend them, particularly for first-timers. BOA will meet all your needs ...
- On site Buddy Dive shop with air/nitrox always available
- Right on sea, with good house reef, particularly for night dives
- Walking distance to downtown shopping, restaurants, Cultimara grocery store, etc.
- Nice pool
- AC & internet
These are managed by Sun Rentals (see Grunt's message above). For 8 adults, you will need two 2-bdrm apts. I recommend the upper floor. They can also arrange for truck rentals for you as well.

Have a great time !!

I just wanted to thank everyone for their suggestions and links. All these great choices are actually making the decision harder. But, that is a good thing! Thank you!

Hi Becki,

I have stayed a few times in this wonderful Sunset Villa (http://www.lumpysdive.com).
It is right at the sea, a 5 minute drive from Kralendijk, 5 bedrooms with own bathrooms, dive closets, a sundeck etc. Close to a divecenter. I know the owner of the villa will help you with renting your dive equipment and car.
In front of the house you have one of the most beuatiful dive sites: the Cliff. Seeing the sunset at the sundeck is an experience you should not miss. Have fun, Liliane
