Is there anyone out there who has stayed at the Plaza Resort and or Divi Resorts recently who can compare overall value of the two?

The prices of the Plaza are listed much higher now and it is said this is the result of their recent remodeling of the Oceanview rooms.

We visit in the off season on Bonaire, June-July.

Thanks

Hi Pat. I've stayed in the villas at the Plaza in past years, and more recently I stayed in a studio unit at the Divi. Although the villas at the Plaza were twice as spacious and a bit more modern than those of the Divi, the studio units at the Divi aren't bad at all. In fact, I'll be returning to the Divi in just 5 days! :-)
What I really like about the Divi is that the studios are just a stone's throw away from the dive shop and dock, and their dive dock has the most convenient and logical set up of any dive resort I've seen anywhere in the world. Their staff is excellent too! Robyn

Have stayed at both. When it has been four of us, we have had 2 bedroom villas at Plaza. When it is only 2 or 3 of us, we have used Divi. I think they are different in ambiance (and I am more of a Divi person myself). Both are walking distance to town, though, obviously, Divi is closer. Plaza has a much nicer beach, but I am not a sun sitter anyway, so I really don't care. A lounge chair in the shade is a lounge chair in the shade (I have had skin cancer and need to be careful.) The definite plus side to Divi IMHO is the SCREENED porch areas. Mosquitoes at Plaza were bad after dark, regardless of how they may treat for them.

Divi is set up for divers. Everything is close by.
