How far do you drive/walk to Windsock private beach area from the Windsock Apartments?

Tina: I'm sure you would have no trouble carrying an ice chest full of beer from the Windsock Resort to the Windsock beach on the other side of EEG. And if by chance you did, just ask anyone in the area. I'm sure they'd be more than happy to assist you in a quid pro quo arrangement; that is for a cold one.

the private beach is right across the two lane road from the apartments... with two people carrying the ice chest it will not be a problem...there is a locker room there for your gear.

I may be wrong but I recall Windsock Beach area, not actually a beach, but rather a ladder dropping down into the water from a small cliff. Is this correct anyone?

I'm considering booking at Windsock Resort or Eden Beach. 5th trip to Bonaire & have stayed at Bellafonte, Den Laman, Belvue. Looking for something more economical but still waterfront. I know Windsock is across the street from the water but the private beach looks good. I don't expect accomodations to be as nice as where I've stayed in the past but would like to be pleasantly surprised, and not disappointed. Any recommendations on which is overall better would be appreciated. I also hear Wanna Dive is awsome & is located at both these apartments.

Tina, this is the first year in 26 that we will not return to Bonaire because of the high cost. Windsock is a very nice place. I have had friends stay there and it's nice. Very cool back yard and bar. Walk across the street and enjoy.

Have a great time Mike. We got spoiled staying at the Bellafonte (102), my wife has a few health problems and getting in and out of the water is a big problem at most places on Bon, but the Bell's stairs made it so easy for her. "If we can't stay there, we should skip it"

It will be a very long winter.

Good Morning Everybody. I just booked my Delta flight to the island. Then the shock at finding very few rental openings and even car rentals sold out. If somebody has a suggestion for our party of 3, it would be greatly appreciated. We are looking for clean and basic housing. Trying to keep it under a grand for the week

Hi Ernest -- contact Bob Bartikowski at RE/MAX. They manage a number of rentals and I know of at least one at Lighthouse Beach Resort that has availability between now and March 31, if that's in your plans.

LOL, when I first read this I thought it said you'd already arrived on the island to find no accommodations. Relieved for you that this was not the real situation! :P
