if you want to be walking distance to town, consider Divi Flamingo...Capt Don's is a nice place but it is north of town...not walking distance...all of the resorts have diving, bars etc

If you have a rental car it's no be deal. Which you will need to see all the beautiful places.

if you are looking for a little luxury a beautiful beach, large rooms and a nice restaurant try the plaza resort. check out their website...plazaresortbonaire.com we will be returning there for the 3rd time tomorrow.it is within walking distance to town and has a wonderful little reef right off the beach..you only get 1 honeymoon (hopefully) do it up big.

Colleen, See my trip report "An Innkeepers Trip Report - April 15th, etc.". We loved Captain Don's and there was a mix of Divers and non-divers in attendance the weeks that we were there. As far as walking distance to town... we walk a lot and enjoyed the walk to town just for exercise BUT a rental car is the way to go no matter where you stay if you enjoy exploring and seeing the entire island.
