What does anyone know about Bellafonte Condominiums. They are suposedly brand new. How upscale? What is there proximity to good snorkeling? What size bed in the Senior Suite? What other information can you provide? Thanks for your help.

The Dutch Prince and Princess just spent the night there. Talk about royal treatment!

Robert-
They have a website www.belbonaire.com . No, I don't work for them. Yes, they are new and on the water in North Belnem, just south of the airport. Snorkeling and diving should be great as they are directly on the water, and the reef runs parallel to the shore. They are in my neighborhood, and although I haven't been inside, they sure look nice. The website should answer all your questions, and then some.

Just completed a stay there from Aug 23rd to Sept 1st. I highly recommend the Bellafonte. It was new, extremely clean, and a great location. Near the airport (but no loud noise), just outside the the town so no congestion, and the dock allows easy access for snorkeling and diving. The staff is very friendly but unobtrusive. If you book early you can get free upgrades. A definite return is in my future.
This was my first trip to Bonaire, I have been to many other Caribbean islands, Hawaii, and Australia, and Bonaire rates up there with the best!!!

Not only is it a great place but recently hosted the Prince and Princess of the Netherlands on their recent visit! I used to dive off the beach there and I understand it is still a great spot.

'Near the airport but no loud noise'. How is it during the nightly KLM 'midnite express' and the other odd late night arrivals and departures?? It was quite noticeable at the Plaza and over in Belnem close to Bellafonte. Maybe it was just that I had the windows open in Belnem. The traffic frequency at Flamingo is low but jets are still loud.

I had a little laugh too Glenn. I was in Belnem in July and did not know about the new flight.

My first night at 3 AM I had a dream a HUGE truck was coming at me. I woke to this loud sound and it was the KLM flight..I freaked. After about 8 nights I started to get used to it but I am a light sleeper. My 10 year old heard it once..HAAA..so go figure..it depends on the person, I guess but surely Belafonte's light sleeper guests hear it...

I personally never minded it much..I love to watch the 747 come in every Sun. The highlight of my trip!

Annie..I thought Sat. Nite dinners with the BT folks was the highlight! Bellafonte is quite well built and all rooms have airco so the sound should be minimized. Glen, you probably where just getting home when the plane landed!
