We are wondering to rent an apartment in the Light house beach resort.
Is there anyone that has some experienced, to this resort? Good or bad?

Hi Jan, Welcome to BT! I own a place at LBR and am actually on island at the moment, feel free to PM me and I will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Remember, LBR is not a "resort as it does not have a dive shop or restaurant on the property. It does have a community pool for owners/guests use. All units are privately owned and accommodations and what each unit offers will vary from unit to unit. Not all units are rented either, some are rented out, others are not and then others live there year round. Please include the unit # you are interested in renting if you send PM to me.

You might want to do a search on this site for comments on LHB. You will find many positive comments about LHB and selected units but at least one unit has received negative comments regarding how the renters were treated by the unit owners. A search might assit you in choosing the right unit for you.

Hi Jan, My wife, son and I spent a month at Lighthouse Beach #21 last summer and we loved it. It is 5 minutes from Belmar and Nitrox, and the southern dive sites are in you backyard, we did drift dives from Lighthouse point to Punt Vierkant. We shopped and fixed most of our meals, but Roomers is across from Belmar and has great food at good prices, and other restaurants aren't that far away. We're trying to adjust our schedules to stay there for a month again next summer/fall.

We have stayed at 2 different units at LBR and both stays were fine. The second time was at Debbie and Gregg's place and I will agree 100% with George that it is perfectly set up for divers! The outside sink and spots to let your gear dry before bringing it inside to the gear room are perfect! You couldn't ask for a nicer place to stay! LBR is great because it allows you to have a HOME away from home. If you want to cook instead of eating out, you have that ability. Highly recommend Debbie and Gregg's place!!!

Jan, As an addition to Ruths comments, the other unit that we stayed in was the one Sparty referred to with difficulties with the owner; read the thread but for what it is worth we had no difficulties with the unit or the owner. It was clean and as described. Debbies unit was more diver friendly with hanging areas and rinse sinks.
