Hi! We're heading down first week in September - YAY!!! Just doing some advanced scouting of the homes for rent the following month. I've read a lot about the Plaza, Buddy Dive, and Divi Flamingo. Anyone got a preference? why? I know they all look great but little things can really make a difference. Peace!

Hi bill, you didn't mention the one that we went to before we moved on... Capt Don's Habitat... we loved the oasis cottages, 2 a/c bedrooms 2 baths, nice common area and a great patio.. only steps from the pool,restaurant,diveshop/reef,parking lot, and most importantly the DECO STOP...

I always loved the Plaza, but then it started to go downhill.

Thanks elaine, Freddie, lisa! Plaza is all over the things like trip advisor as having real issues. Everybody seems to like Buddy and Divi. Freddie - Capt Don's has a whole lot of construction near the nicer rooms and I've heard there's a lot of music late. Would like it a little quieter I think. If I'm wrong on that count someone let me know because I think it's a great place too! Thanks

Bill, my vote would be for the Divi, as it is your first time, central location, you can get a good feel of the island from there too. Very casual and laid back smaller resort, priced right. Plaza is huge, but does have the biggest sandy beach area, I would take what Trip Advisor says with a grain of salt. Was just at the resort this month for a visit, did not stay there, have my own place, but it was well maintained and looking great. Too pricey for a stay IMHO. From what we discussed via email, I do believe the Divi would be your best fit.

Hi Debbie! Yep, we're leaning heavy that way on your initial recommendation. Thanks!

My husband and I stayed at Divi on our first trip to Bonaire and were very happy there. The room had a great view of the water. The only reason we're switching locations on our next trip is because we'd like to have a kitchen. You'll enjoy Divi and most likely will be back to Bonaire again and again and then you can sample some of the other accommodation options.

My vote is the Divi.
