My husband and I are staying at Den Laman in September. Is it allowed to use the lounge chairs and pool at Sand Dollar? Should we buy a drink or something to eat at the bar/restaurant at Sand Dollar in order to use their facilities? Thanks for your thoughts.

Just to be neighborly I would go by the office and ask. It is just about directly across the road/catty-corner to the pool/tennis-courts/bar...lol well you get the idea.

The pool, etc. are not owned by Sand Dollar but by Eddy who owns the restaurant. The facilities are free for guests at SD. Others can ask at the restaurant and if I am not mistaken, there is a small fee to use the pool and tennis courts. You do not need to go the SD.

My wife and I are thinking of staying in DL this December. We stayed at BOA last year and we appreciated having a pool to cool off after a hard day's diving. I guess the only way to do this at DL is through Sand Dollar. Or is there easy beach access?

The lack of lounging space is one of the two drawbacks at Den Laman. We accept it because we like the location, the house reef, and the dive shop.

Beach access from Den Laman? It's *on* the beach, so yes you can access it -- though it's not much of a beach, really.

I'll be there next week and my plan for lounging is simple: if the restaurant at Sand$ will let me lounge there while enjoying a beer from their bar (there is a bar, right?), that's what I'll do.
