Would anyone recommend staying at the Caribbean Club that's north? If so what would you compare it to? We just stayed at Bellvue that's south and were very pleased with everything there. We've also stayed at Bellafonte, & Den Laman. Liked them too! We're thinking there might be 3 couples go with us so want some place comfortable and nice.

Caribbean club is in a great location. By Bonaire standards, it is a little off the beaten track so transport will be needed.

The new parts of the development are good but the older parts are a little below par. I understand that there has been a change in management and good changes have been made. There was a serious problem in this area last year.

I have had some great times at Caribbean Club and I would suggest that if they have indeed sorted themselves out, go for it.

Do a search and you should find a few threads where I've given them praise. We stayed there last year and had a great time. It is much quieter than some of the larger resorts, friendly staff, views from the suites is top notch. Late night dips from oilslick are amazing under the stars, which are bright that far north.

You can use the drive through at Buddy's for diving any south or central sites. The ham and cheese sandwich with fries was only like $3 and was perfectly matched with a few Brights. ;)

We spent two weeks there last month, in the older part, "below par". Kitchen was a small fridge, sink, and hot plate. Had to ask for a coffee maker and TV. We called this trip (5th for us) Bonaire on a budget, that is how we ended up staying there. So comfortable enough for the money. They do have a tank room so tanks are available 24/7, that is if Buddy delivers them. Also Carib Club gets the older trucks (took three for us in the first week because of them breaking down) Would rate the a "C" average, and would probably stay there again to save money. I agree with Aaron it is quiet and the staff is friendly.

I will be there in 6 days with another couple. I have stayed at the Caribbean club several trips to Bonaire. Both in the older sections and the new. There are some really nice areas to the older sections, but I definately would work in staying in the newer part of the resort if possible. They have their own rinse tanks and your own pool and a very nice view with great breezes for sitting on the deck drinking rum. :-) I will check and see if Miss Barbara has gotten most of the issues worked out since taking over the resort last year. The nice thing about tanks, is if Buddy's hasn't delivered tanks, you can still use the Buddy drive through to pick tanks up.

I have not stayed there, but have visited it a couple of times this trip. The newer area is to die for! The private villas (if that is what they are calling them) are gorgeous. The kitchen/living area is huge! They have two bedrooms and one is self sustaining, meaning it locks up separately form the other and it has its own bathroom. This would be a great spot for two couples traveling together. This is the view from the pool and the villas: Absolutely gorgeous!

I have no comments on the older section because I have not spent time in it. I did have dinner there and it was an excellent buffet. Their bar was great as well.

I forgot to mention that the villas have large porches that look out onto the ocean. This place is seriously on my "want to stay" list.

The new villas are very nice. And if you don't need a real kitchen, the new studios are nice too. we stayed in the studio - it is not someplace you can really cook in. But nice if you are eating out and just want a small fridge and small stove top. - no microwave, no oven. The view is awesome, the pool is very very nice. The old units are just that, old and dark.
