John,

For long term accommodations, you may want to contact Sun Rentals (http://www.sunrentals.an). Note that you would need a permit to stay longer than 3 months.

For Food shopping, the best locations for a given item (price-wise) depend on the item, with Warehouse Bonaire, Consales, and Tropical Flamingo usually high on the best price list.

Clothing depends on your heat/cold tolerance. Locals wear long pants and t-shirts all day. Visitors wear shorts and tees. Transplants like us wear shorts & tees during the day, and long pants maybe with a sweatshirt at night.

For additional lifestyle and shopping information, your best bet is to search the BonaireTalk archives.

Take care,

Jake

John,
I just rented a long term rental from Sunbelt Realty. Also, you can try Harbourtown realty. Willeke with Sunbelt was very helpful, and they have photos of the properties on the internet. Also, if you don't see what you like in the long-term rentals, it is worth asking if any of the owners are willing to rent some of the "Vacation" or Short-term rentals for a longer period of time.
Good luck. Here are the websites:
http://www.sunbelt.an
http://www.sunrentals.an
http://www.harbourtownbonaire.com/

Also, here is a link to the roadmap so you will have an idea of where the properties are located.
