Hi and a Great "Thank you" to all who can help me out on this one! We have decided to venture out of our "traditional " diving grounds of the Turks and Caicos islands, and come and discover beautiful Bonaire!

So having said that I am going thru that stressfull period of having to find a Villa that's perfect in a place I have never been!

We will be a group of 9, Adults(4) and Kids aged 2,4,12,14 and the nanny (thank goodness)......

What we would like to see in a villa is a patch of beach and a pool for the kids.

I have been scouring the internet and all the usual sites but I am hoping some of you have some first hand knowledge and maybe even know of the perfect unadvertised ie:internet villa.

Thanks again!

I have never stayed in a place that big, but here a few web sites you might check. You can search the villa names on BT for past postings. Good Luck

Hi west coast and welcome to BT.

We have stayed at a large villa called Villa Oasis that would ALMOST fit the bill. It had 4 - 5 bedrooms, it's oceanfront, it has a sandy beach (not easy to find on Bonaire) but it does NOT have a pool. You can walk into the ocean and dip in there without fear of falling off a cliff.

We loved, loved, loved, loved, loved it. There were 9 of us as well with basically 7 adults and 2 teenagers. Well - one of the "adults" was either 19 or 20 so she doesn't really count as a teenager.

We rented through sunrentals. Here's a link that might take you right to the house. Again the name of the property is Villa Oasis and if the link doesn't bring you right to it then click on large villas and you'll find it.

They also have a butler and a cook which was GREAT. We ate every breakfast, every lunch and 4 of the 7 dinners at the house. The cook also did the grocery shopping for us and we gave her loads of "leniency" regarding what to make - we didn't care though we may have said we wanted chicken or fish or beef or pasta but beyond that we weren't fussy. And all of the meals were wonderful.

If you have any questions please feel free to PM me.

Mara

West, Sun rentals can probably help you, but you may have to settle for a pool and water access rather than a pool and a beach.

We have passed it enviously many times. If you can afford it, go for it. It is absolutely fabulous.

This has been very helpful. My family and I are coming down in June and I have it narrowed down to three or four properties. They are all from different rental companies. I wondered if there are any more reputable than others.

Villa 'Luz di Lama', Bonaire Partners
Hato Villa, Remax
Crown Shores 10, Sunbelt
Villa Oasis, Sunrentals

Villa Oasis sounds great, it seemed a bit dated for the money, especially compared to the others, but the cook & butler may make up for the "style" difference. If anyone has any input, I'd really appreciate hearing from you.
Thanks, TWF
