Will the room safe at Cap't Don's accommodate a laptop computer as well as small things as cameras, passports and money? Only eleven more days.

I locked my laptop in my empty suitcase. Just make sure the powercord, mouse and other evidence of a laptop is not present.

I believe it will I think I put mine in there once. they do call it a laptop safe. However I have never had any issues with theft. I leave my puter out and put money and passports in the safe. With that said i rarely lock the door on the room. Captain Don's is a great place to stay. if it isn't too late Tell Andy I said Hello. My buddy dale hung a shirt over the bar its a dive shirt with a great white that has dreadlocks

Hey, We will be staying at Captain Don's this fall and are having trouble making up our minds as to staying in the Bungalows or the 2 bedroom Apts.
From the map it seems the 2 bed apts. are the Flamboyant building? And the bungalows are quite scattered (none of the above choices have ocean views)
So what do you think ground floor bungalow (is air con just in living area) or second floor apts. ? Any opinions or reports on which units are better?
Thanks!

Meryl: If by bungalows you mean the cottages that are closer to the road, we stayed in the Oasis Cottages (2br/2bath) last winter. They have AC in the living room/kitchen, and in each of the bedrooms. Each room has individual controls for the AC.

We found the cottage convenient because we only did shore dives and the parking lot was closest to the cottages. The restaurant and dive shop were a very short walk away. We didn't miss having a view because we were out diving all day and hardly spent any time in the room.

Hi Meryl the oasis cottages are great..just like Natalie said.. they also have a nice covered patio with at least two cats to a patio..the cottages near the dive shop or on the northern side of the resort looked rather worn the last time we were there..BUT perhaps someone else can chime in on them

So stay with the cottages toward the back? Anyone have a favorite # ? Or schedule with the Apartments?

Having stayed in both; believe me when I say no contest, choose Oasis cottages!

We stay in Don's Junior Delux Suites and the Laptop safe is huge. Easily holds a laptop wallets etc and at least 2 SLR cameras as well.

Not stayed in the Oasis cottages but when visiting friends in them they looked really good.
